Design Informer
Web Design
Design Informer is a web design and graphic design blog that I started in October of 2009 as just a hobby. In just a span of a few months, the blog gained a huge following and it became a tremendous success in the design community. My articles were featured in many different websites and the site had over 2,000 unique visitors daily.
Soon, the website was just too much for me to handle with a full-time job and school, so I eventually sold it to my friends over at Smashing Magazine.

Branching Out
Along with running a successful design blog, I also started a couple of other projects inside the Design Informer umbrella that quickly beccame popular. Heart Directed was a website that showcased art-directed blog posts. inForums was a special forum that was dedicated to design. In just the few months that it was open, it grew to over 1,000 active users.

More Than Just Your Average Blog
One of the reasons Design Informer became wildly popular was due to these specially designed blog posts. Every two weeks, a guest writer would write a post and I would art-direct the article. This type of reading experience was extremely popular among the Design Informer visitors.
